When you hear people talking or asking about the prophetic books of the Bible, more often than not they are referring to the Old Testament Prophets.

The Old Testament is separated into segments.  It begins with the Books of Law, followed by the Books of History and Books of Poetry.  Then come the books of the Prophets.

There are 17 Old Testament Prophets.  However, they also are divided into segments – the Major Prophets and the Minor Prophets.  Below, you will discover the 5 Major Prophets of the Old Testament, and 12 Minor Prophets of the Old Testament.  For your convenience, they are listed in the order of the Old Testament – starting with the Major Prophets from left to right.
