There are 27 books in the New Testament of the Protestant Christian Bible.  These 27 books can be divided into 5 different segments. These segments are:

The first segment of books in the New Testament are known as the Four Gospels.  The Gospels are then followed by the Book of Acts, the 21 Epistles (thirteen of which are Pauline), and the Book of Revelation.
